Happy Saturday everyone! I hope you’re all doing well. As I wait for the second round of editing to come back, I am thinking forward on which story to work on next. I have three possible stories, which I have started at various points in the past.
Option 1:
This is a story about a haunted house and the people who end up there. I realize it’s not a unique plot, but I have some ideas about making it special. It was inspired by a drive I took many years ago through the mountains of Altoona, Pennsylvania.
I wrote the first chapter and part of the second and did 5 character sketches. I don’t want to say more but a bunch of the scenes are based on dreams I had years ago in the early 2000s.
Option 2:
This is a story idea that my friend Mark Takacs and I used to talk about doing, which I have already written seven chapters of, so I could dust that off and finish it.
It’s a story about an angel who leaves heaven and the other angel who is sent to bring him back or kill him if he won’t come back. I won’t say too much more about this one, but part of it was inspired by the Marilyn Manson song “Count to Six and Die (The Vacuum of Infinite Space Encompassing)”.
Option 3:
This one is actually a screenplay that my other friend Michael came up with the idea for. We are actively collaborating on it and I wrote out the character sketch for the protagonist and the general synopsis.
This screenplay is part of a trilogy that Mike came up with which focuses on time. Meaning the past, present and future with each screenplay focusing on one of them.
This project is all Mike’s idea and it’s great stuff. We also discussed possibly turning them in to a trilogy of short stories as well as screenplays, but we will finish the screenplays first.
Down the road:
My long term project is to write and make a video game. I have already been working on this idea for over a year now. The working title is ‘Dragon Seed’ and I have completed the character sketches for about seven characters as well as some general items. Things like spells that can be used, places they will go, etc. It would be an RPG style game in the vain of Rogue Galaxy or the Final Fantasy 7 remake.
Anyway, that’s what is kicking around in my head today regarding writing. If you’d be interested in any of these ideas, let me know.
