I hope that you’re all doing well and are having a great day. I wanted to provide a small update on some of my literary exploits. Let’s get started with my upcoming, debut novel.
The Condemned:
I was sent back the second round of edits from the publisher and will be working on those tonight and hope to finish those this week for return. If no additional editing is needed, we move on to cover / page design next!
Other Stories:
Abashed Persuasions (Working Title):
I revisited my angels story and reworked four chapters out of the seven that I wrote. I’m not in love with how the chapters fed into chapter five, so I am taking a step back from it to rethink my approach. I wrote the story back in 2002 so it hasn’t aged as well and needs some more updating / revising before I continue it.
About Time – A Trilogy of Time (Working Title):
I completed two character bios and a general synopsis of the third time screenplay and sent that to my friend Mike for review. Once he replies with some feedback I’ll start writing that out.
House of Grim (Working Title):
As for the haunted house story, this is another one I started back in 2003 and the first chapter as I had written it was about 450 words. I had always intended this to be more of an intro or prologue opposed to a chapter, but now 17 years later I can look it at fresh and use those great ideas to create a chapter and lay more groundwork for the story. That being said, I converted it into a formal chapter 1, which is now over 2100 words. I really ramped up the horror factor as well.
I think it’s much scarier now with a lot of great imagery. I have some other characters and ideas to sketch out. After that I can revisit chapter 2 and do some more improvements.
