September 2022 Updates

Halloween is coming!

Hi there everyone! 👋 I hope that you are having a lovely weekend. I have a few small updates for you.

Two new story ideas have now made their way out of my head and into my writing program. One will be a podcast episode for submission for two horror podcasts, while the other is probably just a short story, but maybe also a podcast.

The first is a story about a debt collector (enforcer / heavy) named Mick who comes to collect a debt owed to his boss, Rory, in either cash, goods, or blood. With no cash on hand, our protagonist is able to seize a number of goods from the debtor, one of which is cursed. Our protagonist will now need to figure out how to get rid of this item before its effects are permanent.

The second is a story about a teenager who seeks the devil’s help to clear the name of his father who was sent to prison for the supposed murder of his wife, our protagonist’s mother, which appears to have involved the occult. The devil is willing to help, but for a price. The story will take our protagonist and his friends on a Halloween journey they will never forget.

Both of these ideas are just in the planning stages while I draft scene synopses, character sketches, and more.

On top of that, this November’s NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) will be my excuse to finish the first draft of my next novel, House of Grim (working title) about some amateur paranormal investigators who get in WAY over their heads with a haunted house in Texas.

As for my short story anthology, it’s now in draft number five (5). I have some more edits to do and have some beta reader feedback to get as well. Then from there the publisher here and Florida and I will start working on publishing steps.

I still also have two podcasts being published over at The Bane Podcast and The Grey Rooms podcast, which are slated for release in 2023, so I am very excited about sharing those with you all when they finally get released. An interesting point about my Grey Rooms episode is that is will be their very first double episode, so I am really interested to see how they do that. Lastly, I signed the contract for my short story, Eternally Yours, to be published in an upcoming short story anthology from Scare Street Publishing. I do not have a release date for that yet, but I will keep you posted.

I grew up in Green Brook, NJ and as of 2017 am living in Vero Beach, FL. I am an author of stories for both page and screen. Literally Jesse is a place where I can share what I have been up to both literally and literarily speaking. I am an avid reader of fiction with a love for horror, mysteries, science fiction & thrillers, but I don’t limit myself to those genres. I am a published author with my first novel, The Condemned, on sale now and is published by Fulton Books. I am very excited to share what I have been up to and what I am working on.
