Hi there everyone! I trust this post finds you and yours well. I am so happy to share with you that I have officially signed a contract with a Florida based publisher, WND Press, to publish my next book; which is a collection of short stories.
I submitted a short story to WND Press last year, and while they liked the story very much, the tone and length of the story wasn’t a good fit for the anthology they were working on. However, they told me that they loved the story so much that they wanted to work with my on something.
Over the past year, we have been corresponding back and forth about projects. I sent them a selection of short stories I had written and pitched them a collection of short stories for my own anthology. I’m very happy to say that they liked what they read and a few weeks ago we had a meeting about moving forward. As I mentioned at the start, I signed and submitted the contract this week so I can officially share that my second book is coming. WND Press said they plan to publish it this year, so pretty soon work will get underway for beta reading, cover designs, story order, and more.
Once I have a progress update, I will be sure to share it with you all. I am still working on a title and I have a few edits to make before submitting the stories for beta readers. One title that is bouncing around in my head is, The Shackles of Time and Other Dark Tales. I’m not 100% sold on it yet and will think on it some more, but it’s an exciting time to be working with a publisher who believes in me and my work. I’m eternally grateful to Shane and WND Press for their trust and support.
