October 2023 Updates

Hey there, everybody!

It sure has been awhile, hasn’t it? I hope you’re all doing well. In the latest news from my end, I finally got the edited copy of my next book, The Shackles of Time (working title), back and I am finishing my review of the editors’ changes / comments this week. Then it’s off to layout. I expect to get cover designs this week so we can review them and make decision by the end the month 🤞

WND Press is still targeting getting that book released by the end of the year so it may make a lovely holiday present 😉

In other news, I finished the first draft of the ten (10) episode screenplay project I was asked to help with. The issue is the director realized that the plot points provided result in not a lot of screen time, so I’ve been asked to increase the page count with more exposition and dialogue. I cautioned the director that I won’t do this just to do it. The content needs to be added with purpose, otherwise we are just fluffing the story up and it will get boring. I’ll see where that goes.

What I’m really excited to get back to is my next full novel, House of Grim (working title). I had written three chapters and completed all of my character sketches and mapped out plot points for the first 13 chapters. I hope to complete the first draft of that by March next year. Then I can see if WND Press is interested in publishing it, if not, I will shop it around.
