Publisher Woes

Hey everyone. I hope you had a lovely Halloween 🎃

Well, it turns out the publisher I was working with had to stop operations due to some family related issues. I wish them well and thank them for their support, but that leaves me in quite the pickle.

My latest release, The Shackles of Time, never really got the attention the publisher had planned on. They were supposed to help with marketing, podcast interviews, and the like. This really bums me out because while again, I am so grateful for their support and trust in my work to help me get it distributed through Lulu, but I feel like it never really got a chance.

That being said, I am going to start reaching out to literary agents to see if an agent/agency would be interested in helping me re-release it, which from what I have read, is not an easy thing to do since a publisher already published and distributed it. This also has put any projects I had been drafting on hold.

I did submit my short story collection to the Bram Stoker Awards in two categories, so we will see what happens there. At minimum, it gave me a chance to share my writing with over 1000 fellow HWA members, which is nice.

I wish had more to share with you, but that’s it for now. To those reading, thank you again for your interest and support. I hope to have more to share on my next post. Take care.

I am an avid reader of fiction with a love for horror, mysteries, science fiction & thrillers, but I don’t limit myself to those genres. I am a published author with my first novel, The Condemned, on sale now and is published by Fulton Books. I am very excited to share what I have been up to and what I am working on.
