Minor Updates

Hello everyone! Long time no post. I just wanted to check in and provide some minor updates on what’s going on with me in a literary sense.

The Condemned

The initial reviews that I am getting from friends and family have been very good and there have even been some five start reviews posted over on Amazon along with a 4 star review on GoodReads from a friend of mine. She was very honest about the book and she doesn’t read horror, so I keep that in mind and take that sort of criticism as a way to improve.

I am going to get a sales report from the publisher in July and I am very excited to see the initial sales, which would be based solely on my efforts to promote the book and word of mouth from family and friends.

The publisher is getting the press release completed and then they start promoting the book, so it should only improve from there. I am also gearing up to do some more promotion on my own with several outlets and submit the book for some professional reviews.

Lastly, I did reach out to a company to look into doing an audio book version and they loved the book and want to work with me to record it, but the cost of doing so is high. I am going to wait to see how well the book sells before doing so.

Other Projects

I will have some news, hopefully good, about two (2) projects in the works as early as Sunday.

My next novel is underway and I have been making great strides in my research. I also rewrote chapters one & two in the story and I am liking how they are shaping up. I think about the story every single day and make notes. I feel I have a strong plot with somethings that readers may not see coming, which is exciting. More to come on that as progress continues.

The screenplays that I wrote with my friend Michael are done and we love all of them. We are going to look into what we can do next with them regarding getting them filmed. I may even turn them into stories (prose) look to publish them in an anthology, but that is not definite yet.

I have another project that I am contributing to in a minor fashion at this point, which is a backstory for a video game, but I don’t have much to share about that yet. I have also been giving some advice and recommendations on projects from other authors, which is has been rewarding in a collaborative sense as well as helping me improve as a writer.

So I have lots of irons in the fire right now and I am working diligently to progress on them. I look forward to sharing more with you as I continue to make progress and have more news to share. Thank you for taking the time to read this post. Take care. 😄

I am an avid reader of fiction with a love for horror, mysteries, science fiction & thrillers, but I don’t limit myself to those genres.
